I rate DS Auto Experts 5 stars because they lived up to their brand name of being experts not only in auto mechanics, but customer service. My wife even loved the cleanliness of their bathrooms and she's real picky. Moses was very helpful and thorough of making sure that the car I am buying was inspected. He even explained the process to me so I can have peace of mind that what I'm purchasing is actually worth it. The only problem we had is that we live 6 hours away and wish we could take our cars in to them when needed because they were real trustworthy. We are happy and satisfied with the overall DS Auto Expert Experience!

We were travelling thru Visalia and the check engine light was on our 2005 motor home. I called ahead and they were able to work me in and get me back on the road in three hours time. Excellent service and the whole staff was knowledgeable and courteous. They kept me informed on what tests they were conducting and results they found. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing excellent care.

While visiting the National Parks we had the alternator go out on our car. The staff at DS Auto got me on first thing in the morning and were able to get us back on the road. Service was outstanding with personnel constantly making sure we were being taken care of and kept us informed through the whole process. Wonderful business wish we lived in the area because I would have them take care of all my auto needs. Keep up the good work and wonderful customer service .

My car broke down while on a camping trip. From the moment the tow truck arrived, I experienced professional, friendly service. They quickly identified the problem, and had me on my my way back to the mountains. Thanks for a great job!

whoever don't give these guys 5 stars must be using illegal drugs. These have got to be the most friendly and knowledgeable people out there. Ive done my research and been to a lot of shops around to see whats out there. All these mechanics want to do is find things you don't need or sale you something else. Not this place. They are honest, simple and from my experience, best price. I took my car in for a A/C repair in the awful California heat and later that day it was fixed. (at 1/3 the price of the other guys).... on the way home, my wife had to turn it off because she was freezing. I look forward to my cars breaking things or regular maintenance because I get to stop by the shop and say hi.. :)

Santos and crew at DS have taken care of me and some of my family members for years. I go back to them because they are honest, hard working, and provide services that other auto shops haven't even thought of yet. I believe this company, and all the people in it, live by the motto "It is about being better than you were yesterday." They take care of each other, the business, and you. If you show up I promise you will be taken care of with out all the usual concerns of trying a new mechanic. This crew is a level above the average mechanic. They are appropriately named experts. Try them out.

I went in to get my oil changed. I came in with a coupon that was good for a free conventional oil change. I can't remember exactly who was helping me out, but I'm pretty sure it was Moses. He was very polite throughout the whole service.First I called a few hours before my appointment and he was able to reschedule it an hour later for me, even tho I was calling last minute. When I got there, he got started right away on getting my information down and the car in back to get it changed.He came out half way through and showed me some recommendations for my car, but was very very clear that he wasn't trying to get me to buy anything and that he just wanted to bring them to my attention (things like needing new tires badly, which I did know, and an air filter needing to be changed). He even got the mechanic to take the filter out for me to see it and compare it to a new clean one. Even after I finally agreed to an air filter he mentioned again that he didn't want to talk me into something I didn't want. So I said if it wasn't necessary then don't do it and he said fine.It turned out that my car took a type of synthetic oil, but even though my coupon was for conventional oil he still didn't charge me, which I thought was super awesome! (Pep Boys was trying to get $75 out of me!) So I was really pleased by that and that sort of convinced me to consider coming back to them to get new tires (this was probably their plan ;) but hey, good service is good service).The reason this auto shop really deserves the 5 stars to me is that even though I got this service done on my car TOTALLY FREE OF CHARGE due to my coupon, they STILL had great customer service and didn't treat me like someone who was just there to use them.

D&S has been our go-to mechanics since 2010! They always give you straight answers and will explain everything over and over again. From routine maintenance to major engine repair, I would not trust ANYONE else with our vehicles and ALWAYS recommend them to friends and family that need car car maintenance and repair. Had my car towed to D S Auto Experts for somewhat of an emergency repair. I was pretty sure the problem was that my alternator went out. Manager that I spoke to disagreed and after telling me that the alternator had been ruled out a $110 diagnostic was needed to determine the issue. After diagnostic, lo and behold, the issue was in fact the alternator. The manager, Moses, quoted me a $700+ price to replace the alternator. I could not afford that cost and didn't want to pour more money into the old car, so I tried negotiating different options with Moses to bring the price down. He told me that the lowest he could go was $560 and could not go lower since the majority of the cost was due to the amount of labor that the repair would take. He said that there multiple components that had to be removed in order to reach the alternator and that if I gave the green light, the car wouldn't even be ready that day but maybe by the end of the next day. I suspected that Moses was being insincere about the labor intensity of the project and decided to research and call competitors around to get a quote from them. I called about six different businesses around and got price ranges from $200-$300. One business even offered to only charge me for labor if I provided the replacement alternator. They all agreed that the whole process would only take about an hour to an hour and a half. In the end I voiced my concerns to the manager and only paid half price for the unnecessary diagnosis but still informed him and the owner, Santos, that I would take action if changing the alternator was an easy process instead of the intricate and time consuming process that Moses was trying to lead me to believe. A family friend, ended up helping me change out the alternator with basic tools, in about an hour and a half. The repair would have cost me $210 if the friend would have charged me for labor. Instead, it cost me $150 for the alternator, and a six-pack of beer. I do not appreciate it when businesses mislead customers and try and take advantage of them.
