Had my car towed to D S Auto Experts for somewhat of an emergency repair. I was pretty sure the problem was that my alternator went out. Manager that I spoke to disagreed and after telling me that the alternator had been ruled out a $110 diagnostic was needed to determine the issue. After diagnostic, lo and behold, the issue was in fact the alternator. The manager, Moses, quoted me a $700+ price to replace the alternator. I could not afford that cost and didn't want to pour more money into the old car, so I tried negotiating different options with Moses to bring the price down. He told me that the lowest he could go was $560 and could not go lower since the majority of the cost was due to the amount of labor that the repair would take. He said that there multiple components that had to be removed in order to reach the alternator and that if I gave the green light, the car wouldn't even be ready that day but maybe by the end of the next day. I suspected that Moses was being insincere about the labor intensity of the project and decided to research and call competitors around to get a quote from them. I called about six different businesses around and got price ranges from $200-$300. One business even offered to only charge me for labor if I provided the replacement alternator. They all agreed that the whole process would only take about an hour to an hour and a half. In the end I voiced my concerns to the manager and only paid half price for the unnecessary diagnosis but still informed him and the owner, Santos, that I would take action if changing the alternator was an easy process instead of the intricate and time consuming process that Moses was trying to lead me to believe. A family friend, ended up helping me change out the alternator with basic tools, in about an hour and a half. The repair would have cost me $210 if the friend would have charged me for labor. Instead, it cost me $150 for the alternator, and a six-pack of beer. I do not appreciate it when businesses mislead customers and try and take advantage of them.

I am glad to have found experts to service my car other than the Honda of Visalia. D S Auto Experts are professionals and knowledgeable in customer service and auto repairs. My car needed many repairs I was unaware, but with the 40 point inspections I had a complete diagnose. The mechanics repair the many mechanical failures and with a warrantee on the parts. I am completely satisfy with their performance; for now on my car will be service every three months at D S Auto Experts.

Outstanding service. Staff were courteous and very helpful in providing transportation home. My car was ready quickly and when they said it would be. My car was even delivered back to me spotless in and out! Like new. I was very pleasantly surprised. I would highly recommend this shop for your car. I won't go anywhere else.

I was looking for reputable auto service, something beyond the ordinary where a relationship could develop. Very pleased after my first visit for lube and oil service. It's refreshing to be greeted with a handshake, respect, professionalism, yet excitement. The work was performed in a timely manner, price is competitive, and the facility is outstanding. Clean and comfortable waiting room with beverages and snacks. The shop area looked clean and organized as well. All in all, I came away feeling that these folks do care if I return and wanted to create a positive experience. Above and beyond. Thank you!

These guys are amazing. I took my car down and told them I would be making a 1,200 mile drive in just over a week. They inspected my car head to toe and went through everything that needed to be replaced to make a safe journey (for free!). I spoke with Moises numerous times through out the day and they were able to work something out that for their schedule and my financial needs. They even provided a rental car free of charge. This has been the easiest and most stress free experience when dealing with necessary auto repairs. I highly recommend DS to anyone and everyone. They have some of the most wonderful customer service out there!

D & S saved my summer and ended my car nightmares!It's a long detailed story, the last 2 paragraphs are the most important.In December 2014, my alternator failed in my 2002 Subaru Outback. I had it towed and repaired in northern California (and bought a new battery), only to have more issues in March 2015, corrosion on my battery cables which was another tow and repair to the same shop. On May 31, 2015, I was 400 miles into a 500 miles moving trip. My alternator failed again and I was towed to a nearby shop that the tow truck driver just took me to, and my family picked me up since it was a Sunday night. Since my original repair was covered by a Napa Autocare warranty, the 2nd new alternator was covered, and I drove the remaining 100 miles to get home 2 days later.By July 11th, the 2nd new alternator was dead too! After doing some research, I decided to get the new repair at D&S, and this is where my story gets positive!After explaining the issues detail to their helpful staff, I felt good about them looking into the issue. The following day, I received a call that the wrong alternator was installed in my car! And it likely happened twice... They replaced it with the correct alternator, replaced a battery terminal, and inspected all of the systems affected by the original error. Since this was a 2nd warranty repair within the coverage period, Napa covered this repair for me. Finally my 7 month nightmare is over! I've been driving for 2 weeks now without an issue or a single dash warning light coming on. I am very satisfied with how thorough they were with the repair, as well as their prompt service. My car was filthy when I dropped it off, and had been washed and vacuumed when I picked it up. I am very happy with their work and I will return here for repairs and maintenance in the future, and I would recommend them to my friends! :)

they are great, while on holiday, we were lucky enough to be taken to DeSauto auto, they area kind and efficient, being very generous, allowing us to plug in for water, electric and their internet while semi stranded with a broken motor home. Santos and his crew worked very hard to speed us on our way, Santos driving 100 miles to get parts to fix our problem. They are great, professional and best of all, kind to travelers, Bella, Giulio and I thank you, the rest of our trip was great, to the mountains, beaches and finally home to the desert, all thanks to Santos [email protected]
